Are your windows glass?

No. Every Y&S Shields window is polycarbonate, a lightweight and virtually unbreakable plastic used in motorsport. We do not sell glass.

Are the windows pre formed?

No. Windows are CNC cut flat and take the shape of your car as they are installed.

How long until my order ships?

Every order is made to order, and most orders ship within 7 business days. You will get an email with tracking as soon as it ships. Every order ships with tracking and insurance.

What shades and thicknesses do you offer?

Regular polycarbonate comes in Clear, 35%, 20% and Blackout. MARGARD MR10 scratch resistant comes in Clear and 35%. Thickness options are 1/8" and 1/4". See our Materials & Install Guide for details.

Does polycarbonate scratch easily?

Regular polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable but can scratch. For better scratch resistance, choose MARGARD MR10. It is scratch resistant, not scratch proof.

How do you recommend installing?

Any method works when done properly. Customers have had great results with window adhesive, rivnuts with Allen head bolts, rivets and industrial Velcro. Professional installation is recommended.

Do the windows come with holes drilled?

No. Windows ship without holes so you can choose the number, size and placement of your hardware.

Can I use my OEM moldings?

Yes. Slight modifications to the moldings may be needed.

Can door windows work with my window regulators?

Yes. You will need to source or fabricate brackets to attach the window to the regulator. You may need to guide the window into the upper seal when rolling it up.

Do windows come with a black border?

No, but you can add one yourself if you want the factory look.

My chassis is not listed. Can you make it?

Very likely. Email sales@ysshields.com with your year, make and model and we will let you know.

Can you engrave a logo or number on my windows?

Yes. We laser engrave team logos, car numbers, names and more. Start a Custom Order to get a quote.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Production begins once payment is received. If you need a change, contact us right away with your full name and order number, before your order is produced. Cancellations within 24 hours carry a 20% restocking fee. Payment processing fees are non refundable.

What if my package arrives damaged or a window does not fit?

Take photos and video right away, before removing the protective film, and email them to sales@ysshields.com with your name and order number. Please test fit every window when it arrives. Once the film is removed, a window cannot be returned. See our Return Policy for full details.
